A suicide can have a devastating impact on a community or organization. The shock and grief can ripple throughout the community affecting friends, co-workers, schools, and faith communities. Since knowing someone who has died by suicide is one of the highest risk factors for suicide, taking steps to reduce risk and promote healing after suicide (postvention) becomes an integral part of suicide prevention efforts.  Connect Postvention Training is a National Best Practice Program, which provides information and Best Practices that are applicable across “all systems” to help communities better coordinate resources and support.
