The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Office Federal Grant Programs & Suicide Prevention is pleased to distribute this Call for Presentations announcement in preparation for the 2025 Georgia Suicide Prevention Conference. The 2025 Georgia Suicide Prevention Conference is scheduled for February 17-20, 2025, at the Hilton Peachtree City in Peachtree City, Georgia.
The goal of the 2025 Georgia Suicide Prevention Conference is to provide a forum for supportive learning to those who share an interest in suicide prevention, intervention and postvention.
The primary objectives of the 2025 Georgia Suicide Prevention Conference are that at the end of the conference, participants will be able to:
- Identify ways to advance suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention in Georgia in collaboration and coordination with other stakeholders.
- Identify and develop strategies to implement interventions and address gaps in suicide prevention, in a variety of settings, including schools, colleges and universities, and jurisdictions with high burden of deaths by suicide.
- Learn how to apply suicide prevention best practices to manage suicide ideation and suicide behaviors.

Proposal selection will be based on the degree to which the sessions provide:

- Practical applications for the intended audience; and
- Adheres to the 2025 Georgia Suicide Prevention Conference goal and primary objectives.
